Leg Laser Hair Removal — Georgetown, ON | Skin Bar Spa
Full legs · $125 per session

Leg laser hair removal.

If you shave your legs three times a week, that is roughly 150 times a year and somewhere near forty hours of your life. Six to eight sessions and that number goes to almost nothing — no stubble by evening, no nicks, no razor burn behind the knee.

Why Legs

The biggest time saver on the body.

Legs are the largest area most people treat, which makes them the area where the difference is most obvious day to day. It is also the area clients most often say they should have done years earlier.

Ankle to upper thigh Full legs covers front and back, shin, calf, knee and thigh. Half legs is available if you only want below the knee.
Around forty minutes A large area, but the Soprano works in motion rather than single shots, so coverage is quick. Evening appointments to 9pm.
No more shaving rash Behind the knee and around the ankle are where razors do the most damage. Removing the follicle removes the problem.
Safe on tanned skin? Not on a fresh tan — two weeks clear of sun and self-tanner is required. But the machine itself is safe across all six Fitzpatrick skin types.
What To Expect

A full leg session, start to finish.

Shave both legs the night before or the morning of your appointment. Do not wax or epilate for four weeks beforehand, and stop retinoids and strong acids a week before.

The appointment runs about forty minutes for full legs. You lie down, one leg is treated at a time in sections, and the chilled applicator glides continuously rather than stamping. Most clients read or talk through it.

Expect mild pinkness and a warm feeling like light sunburn for a few hours. Skip the gym, hot showers and saunas for twenty-four hours — heat plus freshly treated follicles is the main cause of irritation.

Treated hairs shed over the next one to three weeks, which looks like slow regrowth but is not. Between sessions you may shave normally. Book four to six weeks apart; legs sit at the longer end of that range because leg hair cycles more slowly than underarm or bikini hair.

Questions

About legs.

How long does a full leg session take? +

About forty minutes. The Soprano treats in continuous motion rather than individual pulses, so even a large area moves quickly.

Can I do just below the knee? +

Yes. Half legs is a common starting point, particularly for clients who mostly wear trousers in winter. Ask at your consultation and Sukh will price it for you.

Will it work on blonde or grey leg hair? +

Honestly, not well. The laser targets pigment in the hair, so blonde, red, grey and white hair responds poorly no matter which machine is used. Sukh will tell you at the patch test rather than take your money for six sessions that will not work.

Can I shave between sessions? +

Yes, and you should — shaving does not affect your results at all. What you must avoid between sessions is waxing, plucking and epilating, because those remove the follicle the laser needs to find.

What if I have varicose veins or moles? +

Moles are covered and treated around, never over. Varicose veins are generally not a contraindication but mention them at your consultation so Sukh can assess the area properly.

Do I need to avoid the sun? +

Two weeks before and after each session, and no self-tanner in that window either. Treating recently tanned skin is the single most common cause of complications, which is why the answer is a firm no rather than a maybe.
